Mackinac State Historic Parks features seven unique and memorable museum stores throughout its museums and historic sites.
Fort Mackinac Museum Store, Mackinac IslandThe Fort Mackinac Museum Store is housed in the 1878 Commissary. The store features one-of-a-kind souvenirs, merchandise, apparel, and is home to a large selection of Mackinac State Historic Parks publications, including books on the history of Mackinac National Park, the American Revolution at Mackinac, and the soldiers who served at the fort.
Items are available for all ages and interests, and the heated shop makes for a welcome stop on a cool spring or fall day. Open daily through October 24. Hours vary by season. Admission required to visit the Fort Mackinac Museum Store.
Mackinac Island State Park Visitor’s Center, Mackinac IslandCompletely renovated for 2026! The Mackinac Island State Park Visitor’s Center is located in the heart of downtown Mackinac Island, across from Marquette Park, and only steps from the ferry docks.
The Visitor’s Center is home to the official Mackinac Island State Park Store, with merchandise and souvenirs only found there. You can also stock up on Mackinac State Historic Parks publications.
The Visitor’s Center is also the informational home for Mackinac Island State Park, and includes a timeline exhibit of the park. Open daily through October 4. Hours vary by season. No admission required to visit the Mackinac Island State Park Visitor’s Center.
Nowhere else does such a rare and exceptional collection of Mackinac-related art and photography come together to tell Mackinac’s story. The store includes prints, publications, and souvenirs. Colonial Michilimackinac Visitor’s Center, Mackinaw CityCompletely renovated in 2025! The Colonial Michilimackinac Visitor’s Center is our largest museum store, and is located directly under the Mackinac Bridge, where Lakes Michigan and Huron meet.
Browse one-of-a-kind souvenirs, 1700s-inspired toys and games, housewares, clothing, and hundreds of publications, including Mackinac State Historic Parks books.
After purchasing Colonial Michilimackinac tickets, be sure to explore the timeline history of Michilimackinac. Open daily through October 11 (excepting October 6). Hours vary by season. No admission required to visit the museum store.
Hearthside Museum Store, Colonial Michilimackinac, Mackinaw CityLocated inside the South Southwest Rowhouse, the Hearthside Museum Store offers refreshments, one-of-a-kind souvenirs, apparel, and Mackinac State Historic Parks publications.

David A. Armour Visitor’s Center Museum Store, Dousman’s Mill, Mackinaw CityBrand new for 2027! The David A. Armour Visitor’s Center Museum Store offers items inspired by the Michigan North Woods and the first industrial site on the upper Great Lakes. You can also find Mackinac State Historic Parks publications, unique merchandise and souvenirs.
