Help us keep Mackinac Island State Park beautiful! Join Mackinac State Historic Parks, Mackinac Associates, and the Mackinac Island Tourism Bureau as we prepare Mackinac Island State Park for the 2026 season.
When: Saturday, May 2 12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Where: Mackinac Island State Park. Meet at the Huron Road Pavilion located next to the rear entrance to Fort Mackinac at 12:30 p.m. You are welcome to stop by the Mackinac Island Tourism Bureau Information Booth (7274 Main Street) next to Mackinac Island Carriage Tours for directions and guidance. Volunteers are also welcome to stop by either Fort Mackinac admission booth for directions.
What to Bring: Outdoor or gardening gloves, warm clothes for cool temperatures, rain gear just in case, closed toe shoes or hiking boots, protective eyewear if possible. Small tools are welcome, but please no power tools or chainsaws.
Transportation: For those coming from off island, ferry tickets are being worked out. Please check back for details.
More: Meet at the Huron Road Pavilion for an official greeting and work assignments. Volunteers will be sorted into small groups depending on work level indicated on the volunteer signup. You will be assigned to a group leader who will lead you onto your trail. Volunteers will be asked to sign a waiver at the Huron Road Pavilion.
