Historic Mill Creek offers several scenic areas for wedding ceremonies, from a 50-foot tower that overlooks the park and the Straits of Mackinac to the millpond bridge with the historic water-powered sawmill as a backdrop.
If you wish to view Historic Mill Creek, please call to schedule a visit. The park is open to the public, and you may also view it without an appointment. Dates and times fill up fast and are reserved on a first come, first served basis.

Weddings may be scheduled at Historic Mill Creek from early May through October. All wedding reservations include a 2-hour time block for decorating, ceremony, pictures, and clean-up. Rehearsals can also be scheduled the day before.
May, September, and October wedding ceremonies can be scheduled to begin between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. In June, July and August weddings must start between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. Weddings are only allowed to start after Historic Mill Creek closes to the public, allowing exclusive use of the site.
The benches from the saw pit demonstration within Historic Mill Creek will be used for seating. Additional chairs (up to 50) are $2.00 each. A Mackinac State Historic Parks representative will be available throughout the ceremony. In the case of inclement weather, the pavilion located near the David A. Armour Visitor’s Center will be the designated weather back-up.
