The Richard and Jane Manoogian Mackinac Art Museum Private Events

Nowhere else does such a rare collection of art and photography come together to tell Mackinac’s story. Have your guests be inspired by what they see, and host your event in the multiple gallery spaces throughout the museum. The art studio located on the lower level can be available for your event as well.

Types of Events

All events are expected to harmonize with the character, mission and public purpose of the site, such as dinners and receptions for convention and travel groups visiting Mackinac Island. Events celebrating birthdays, weddings, etc. are typically not permitted. Check with the Special Events Coordinator for more information on permissible events. In order to preserve the historical appearance of each site signs and decorations are restricted. Consult the Special Events Coordinator for more information.

Any properly licensed caterer can be contracted for your event at The Richard and Jane Manoogian Mackinac Art Museum. Mackinac State Historic Parks does not offer a catering service.

Hours

The Richard and Jane Manoogian Mackinac Art Museum is available daily from 6:3o p.m. to 9:30 p.m. during the operating season. Event set-up and preparation may begin after 5:30 p.m. for reception/dinner functions and 5:45 p.m. for reception-only functions. No vendor or guest will be allowed to enter before that time. Guests may begin arriving any time after 6:30 p.m. All events must conclude by 9:30 p.m. and clean-up must be concluded by 10:00 p.m.

Guests are expected to arrive to the front entrance of the museum; an accessible entrance is located to the rear. An elevator is located within the museum.

The Richard and Jane Manoogian Mackinac Art Museum Programs

All gallery and exhibit space at the museum will be open and available for guests. A Mackinac State Historic Parks curator can be available to provide a tour. An art project can be available; see the fees structure for more information.

Fee

A non-refundable $250 deposit must be made to secure The Richard and Jane Manoogian Mackinac Art Museum for an evening event. Deposits can be made via check or credit card.

  • 0-50 guests $750
  • 51-150 guests $1,000
  • Tent rental and set-up $1,000 (tent will be placed next to the museum in Marquette Park)
  • Art Project $150-$300 depending on numbers

-All requests for the tent must be finalized the day prior to the event
-Final payment is due day of event.
