Workshops take place in Marquette Park on the lawn outside The Richard and Jane Manoogian Mackinac Art Museum. Supplies are provided, but you may also bring your own. A Star Spangled Fourth of July Posted July 4, 2021 The historic island fort is decked out in patriotic finery with banners, flags and bunting. It is an 1880’s Independence Day, with 38-gun salutes honoring the states of the period, performances of patriotic music, and Victorian children’s games. Guests join the party and participate in games on the fort parade ground. Included with regular admission to Fort Mackinac. #thisismackinac

Music in the Park, Presented by Mackinac Arts Council Posted July 1, 2021 From the Arts Council: “With a spectacular backdrop, our summer concert series takes place on the lawn of a National Historic Landmark, Marquette Park, which is at the foothills of Historic Fort Mackinac downtown across from the marina. Bring a picnic and tune in for some great live folk, rock, country, blues—the best of Americana. All concerts are free. G. Mennen Williams Mackinac Celebration Posted June 19, 2021 Mackinac Associates‘ annual G. Mennen Williams Celebration brings together lovers of Mackinac to recognize the outstanding support and efforts of Mackinac State Historic Parks’ friends group. Cocktails will be at the Governor’s Residence, while dinner will be at the yard of the Commanding Officer’s Home next to Fort Mackinac. This is a Members Only event.
