An exciting trek through the trees, the Forest Adventure Experience is a special, guided experience that allows visitors to learn about the park’s natural history and the layers of the forest by taking you up the five-story Treetop Discovery Climbing Wall, over the Forest Canopy Bridge and down the 425′ Eagle’s Flight Zip Line. The Forest Adventure Experience is a separate, ticketed attraction that requires valid general admission into Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park. Adventure Tour tickets can only be purchased on site at Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park.
The Forest Adventure Experience will be available June 9 – September 3, 2023.
The trek begins by winding your way into the northern forest before reaching the Forest Canopy Bridge. Learn about the animals and plants that live on the forest floor and then travel through the forest understory into the trees on the canopy bridge. Fifty feet below this narrow suspension bridge Mill Creek flows into the Mill Pond. Make sure to pause and learn about the advantages and challenges wildlife have when living in the trees.
Experience the adrenaline of standing on a platform, 40 feet above Mill Creek, and preparing to jump and ride the 425′ zip line to Eagle’s Landing. The Eagle’s Flight Zip Line is designed to mimic a bald eagle gliding over the pond to catch a brook trout that was spotted from a perch in the trees.
The finale of the Forest Adventure Experience is the Treetop Discovery Climbing Wall, located at the base of the Forest Canopy Bridge. Scale more than five stories and learn about the various birds that call Mill Creek home while also listening to the birds’ various calls.
