Portrait of United States Senator Fairbanks of Indiana, who later served as Vice President under Theodore Roosevelt (G.13A.359). On, August 1st (Tuesday) 1905 George Marshall, light keeper for the Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse, wrote in his log book “Light E & Cleare USS Yantick took the Vice President and governor Warner of Mich on board this am for Sault St Marie....".
