Members-Only Events

Members at the Friend level and above are invited to attend two free members-only events each year: the Red, White & Blue Celebration held under a big tent near Fort Mackinac on the Fourth of July and the Annual Meeting (date and location to be determined each year).

Additionally, members at the Sentinel level receive reduced-price tickets to the G. Mennen Williams Celebration (typically held in July at a Mackinac Island cottage and followed by dinner at Grand Hotel), while friends at the Explorer level and above are eligible for complimentary tickets. The G. Mennen Williams Celebration is regarded as a fundraiser for the parks.

Every year, at least one additional special event is planned for members only. Past summer events have included costume balls, poetry readings, lighthouse cruises, and behind-the-scenes tours. A popular winter event has been evening tours of other Michigan museums.
