Mackinac Island Downtown Buildings Archaeology

Archaeological activity at the Mackinac Island Historic Downtown Buildings has been focused on the excavation of an early 19th-century privy at the Biddle House in 1972. It was discovered while restoring a later privy and contained a fabulous collection of ceramics.
